What is a Sweatshop? A sweatshop is a factory in Asia or Central America that hires workers for extremely low wages, and makes their employees work in dangerous conditions. Sweatshop employees make 60 cents an hour or less and cannot support their families on that income. The majority of American companies are now relocating their factories to Asia or Central America. Many Americans are losing much-needed jobs because of this.
Believe it or not, almost everything you wear is made at a sweatshop. Everyday we all support sweatshops in some way. Thankfully, certain companies now provide sweatshop free alternatives. Some of these companies include:

• No Sweat Apparel ( http://www.nosweatapparel.com )
• Union Maid Screen Printing ( http://www.unionmaidscreenprinting.com )

So, before you believe that supporting sweatshops is mandatory, remember that there will always be alternatives and that you can stop buying sweatshop made clothing. We can all hope for a better U.S., but first we need to make a better us.

Abortion: I believe taking away a woman’s right to abortion is taking away her freedom. There are diverse reasons why abortion is the best option.
